Kineticz is a fun and easy way to introduce movement and cooperative learning into any classroom. Using drama activities and action-based learning strategies, teachers can easily increase student engagement, implicit learning, and interpersonal connections. Kineticz draws upon the theories and practices of Mike Kuczala, Jean Moise, Keith Johnstone and Viola Spolin by implementing frequent ‘brain breaks’ into every lesson, allowing for increased neurological function and community building.
Participants will leave the workshop with a toolkit of kinetic activities which they can use in the classes right away, plus ideas for ways to reimagine their classroom environments. Lastly participants will have the opportunity to join a community of educators who are adding their own innovative ideas to kinetic teaching practice.
