App Smashing - something you probably do all the time without thinking about it! It's using 2 or more apps together to make something awesome.

It’s an approach to digital creation that many teachers want their students to take...but without actually setting the intention, and putting classroom organization in place, it doesn’t always happen. In this presentation, Tanya will speak about some of the different ways you can get students to use multiple apps in their sharing and presentations. You'll learn how to go beyond a simple PowerPoint and find ways to share learning through video, audio, design, and more!  You'll also get a comprehensive list of smashable apps to use in your classroom.

Tanya will draw upon her experiences as a classroom teacher and innovation coach to help you and your students take creation to the next level. She comes from a 1:1 iPad environment, but will feature apps and sites that work on multiple devices.

The Grade level focus for this presentation will be middle-upper elementary and beyond. You will see examples and ideas from apps like:
  • Book Creator
  • Thinglink
  • SWAY
  • Stop Motion
  • ChatterPix
  • iMovie
  • Adobe Tools
  • DoInk Green Screen
  • Canva
  • Special Effects Apps
  • Flipgrid
  • And more!
